Information evening and AGM 29th September

On Thursday 29th September we will be running an information night followed by our AGM at The Corrin Hall in Peel

From 19:30-20:30 we will be running a drop-in session for anyone interested in finding out about more our work and becoming a member. Find out about who we are what what we do, learn about our local species and our ongoing research and educational projects. Have a cuppa and some cake on the house (we will even have a delicious vegan chocolate cake). Become a member on the day to stay on and vote in the AGM commencing at 20:30.

AGM 20:30-21:30

The first AGM of Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch is taking place a year since we became a registered charity. We would really appreciate your support by attending our meeting.

Three Trustee positions will be available and we would love to hear from anyone interested in taking on these roles.
Key duties: Keeping an accurate record of the charity’s income and expenditure and preparing financial projections and annual reports
Key duties: Ensuring that meetings are effectively organised and minuted. Maintaining communication and correspondence with members.
Fundraising Trustee:
Key duties: To find suitable grant-making bodies and submit funding proposals. Organise and run fundraising events and find other ways of making money.
Anyone wishing to put themselves forward need to inform us no later than Sunday 25th September with a profile of themselves summarising why they should be elected. This will then be distributed among all members and candidates will be voted for at the AGM.
